Mining wastewater mainly comes from the drainage of wet dust removal during the ore crushing process, floor washing water from crushing and screening workshops, corridors, and ore transfer stations, and mineral processing wastewater. Mineral processing wastewater containing a large amount of suspended solids is usually clarified after sedimentation and reused in mineral processing. The sediment, according to its composition, enters the mineral processing system and is then discharged into the tailings system. Tailings are one of the ineffective products in the mineral processing process, mainly including heavy metals such as mercury, cadmium, lead, and chromium, and non-metallic elements such as sulfur and arsenic, which are significantly toxic, as well as elements such as zinc, copper, and nickel, which have certain toxicity. Tailings leachate can cause groundwater and soil pollution. The consequences of people drinking contaminated groundwater or ingesting heavy metals through consuming agricultural products are very serious.
After testing the wastewater in our company's laboratory, a feasible solution was provided: the wastewater flows into a three-layer sedimentation tank through a drainage ditch. The water from the three-layer sedimentation tank, after a long period of sedimentation, produces clear water that can be recycled. A mixer is used in the three-layer sedimentation tank for uniform mixing, and a slurry pump is used to pump the slurry from the three-layer sedimentation tank into the sludge tank. Chemicals are added using a chemical conditioning tank (the chemicals are added to the sludge tank through the chemical tank). After the sludge tank is uniformly mixed by a mixer, it is pumped into a filter press for dewatering treatment by a plunger slurry pump (the plunger slurry pump needs to be specially customized and uses a spherical valve core). The resulting mud cake is removed and buried, and the clear water flows into the clear water tank for recycling, ultimately achieving the goal of transforming wastewater into clean water.on ore.
